My family's second visit to this beautiful gem overlooking the mountains and frozen pond. Our hosts are highly communicative and helpful. The description is accurate. Considering our 2nd visit and rebooked for 3rd in 2026 - this speaks volumes -- more than meets our needs, well stocked. We're looking forward to visiting during the summer months to further appreciate the views. Grateful to them for sharing their home with us.

Gorgeous Ski Chalet - 7 mi to Belleayre (hot tub)

KelseyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Ray is one of the most responsive hosts I’ve ever had. Any questions we had, he answered super quick! The place was beautiful, and had a gorgeous view of the mountains. The kitchen was nice and had all the little things you may need during your trip (pots, pans, spices, etc). There’s a deck/balcony off the master bedroom where we spent our mornings with a cup of coffee enjoying the sounds of nature and beautiful views. We enjoyed this peaceful getaway so much.

3-Bedroom Home - Perfect Hamilton Village Location

JakeRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Alex was an excellent host, communicative from start to finish. The house was lovely and perfect for three sets of parents visiting their kids at Colgate. It was comfortable and clean with lots of style and flare and everything you could need in the kitchen. Alex was also very understanding of a spill (tomato sauce on the dining room rug) and our attempts to clean it. A great all around and comfortable experience!

Delaware House was perfect for our family and our pets! Easy and close to walk to restaurants, cideries, etc. Quiet neighborhood. Comfortable and clean old farmhouse, with a lovely porch. Cooper Creek was above and beyond what we expected for our weekend stay. Eileen was an exceptional host in every way. She has just about every amenity for a family stay you could think of, plenty of space for everyone and a very cozy aura. She even made homemade muffins and bread for us. I have stayed at many airbnb’s and this one is by far top notch and one of my favorites!

Two Great Breweries are your neighbors!

AudreyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This is a great place to stay! Felt at home as soon as walked in. All the modern conveniences while maintaining the beautiful history of the house. Travelling with adult kids and friends, plenty of room for everyone. Well appointed kitchen and baths, lots of blankets for an April visit, and the location was perfect for us. Easy walk to Ommegang and easy drive to downtown Cooperstown and several other more local breweries and eateries. We had a blast! Emily was more than accommodating with quick responses and flexibility, really appreciate her as a host. We look forward to our next visit, which will be a little later in the season so we can take advantage of the outdoor area and front porch. Can't wait!

DanielleRating, 5 stars9 months ago
Let me start by saying Bryan and his wife are absolutely WONDERFUL human beings! From the very start, Bryan was responsive and kind and so helpful! I had to switch my reservations to arrive a day early and leave a day early because I messed up on our cooperstown days and he switched it for me with no problem! The house was beautiful and clean! The neighborhood was adorable! When we had some spare time we walked into town and enjoyed the few shops, library, and yummy bagels! Upon check out we left to Boston and about two and a half hours into our drive to Boston I received a message from Bryan saying we left my sons jerseys at the house. I instantly started crying because we were going to be late to turn our rental car in if we turned around and so stressed because the jerseys are irreplaceable. Bryan was so kind and offered to ship them and provided and tracking number and paid for the cost! I cannot express my gratitude to him and his lovely wife! 1000% recommend staying here!

Welcome To Turner Ranch

JoeRating, 5 stars4 days ago
We have stayed is many, many rent by owner homes over the years. I would rate this one 10 out of 10 if I could. I’ve never seen some many amenities and little extras before. Everything was so thoughtful. A nice clean, comfortable home with plenty of room and a huge yard in a country setting. Perfect if you have a dog or children. Renters shouldn’t hesitate to choose Turner Ranch.

Peaceful Home in the Heart of Sherrill

RickyRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Second time booking Adam’s property and won’t be the last. House is beautiful and well renovated with a modern touch. Location is on a peaceful street with a nice coffee shop a block and a half away (breakfast sandwich was great). Location is also very convenient for those looking to golf. For us, golfing was our primary purpose so we had a bunch of choices to choose from. Adam, as always, is a great host. He had to come by to get something from the garage and asked if it was ok beforehand. Even offered to blow off the deck so pollen doesn’t get on my car that was parked on the driveway. In my opinion, only exceptional and courteous hosts asks permission to come to their own property. Highly recommend for those taking a trip to the area. Hope to be back later this year.

Had a wonderful stay at Helene’s place. It was clean, cozy and really felt like a home away from home. It was the perfect place to unwind after a long day at Belleayre. Helene was a great host and was very accommodating after a booking faux pas on my end. We would happily stay with Helene again.

Brushland's The White House

JohnRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Brushland's The White House is a complete gem located in the small hamlet of Bovina, NY. Across the street from the very cool and quite delicious Brushland Restaurant, The White House is spotlessly clean, fun of historical quirks that make it both memorable and enjoyable, with chic antique decor. The area is characterized by well-preserved farmland with roadside barns so beautiful they make you gasp. Our activities included a challenging but ultimately visually spectacular hike up to the recently restored Bramley Mountain Fire Tower. We loved our visit to this pristine but quite hip area. Highly recommend.

Your guide to Cooperstown

Welcome to Cooperstown

Whether you’re into sports, the arts, or the great outdoors, this northern Catskills Mountains town sitting on the southern end of Otsego Lake is world-famous in each of these realms. Hit a home run in a haven for baseball fans: Cooperstown is home to the National Baseball Hall of Fame as well as the Heroes of Baseball Wax Museum, a famous bat maker, and Doubleday Field. Meanwhile, author James Fenimore Cooper dubbed Otsego Lake “Glimmerglass” in one of his novels, making way for both a lakeside park and a renowned summer arts festival bearing the name. Also channeling that creativity in town is the Fenimore Art Museum. And finally, everywhere you look, Cooperstown is about living the simple life outdoors, from hiking and golfing to canoeing and swimming.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Cooperstown

Along with its baseball ties, spring tends to attract the most visitors, despite the mix of humidity and chilly temperatures. Festivities start up in May with the General Clinton Canoe Regatta, the longest single-day flat water canoe race in the world, and the Hall of Fame Classic baseball game. Summer ushers in a more temperate climate, primed for warm outdoor days melting into comfy evenings, as the arts crank into gear with the Cooperstown Summer Music Festival and the famed Glimmerglass Festival celebrating the arts. By the time fall rolls around — toasted with a Harvest Festival — that crisp autumn air reigns, often accompanied by rainy days, and even the beginning of snow. Winter days are cold and snowy, and tourism slows, but along with that comes more room to enjoy the area.

Top things to do in Cooperstown

National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum

The crown jewel of Cooperstown is the 60,000-square-foot mecca of baseball history, located right on Main Street, with 40,000 artifacts. While there are exhibits on the sports’ greatest names, the displays also put visitors at the forefront, highlighting the power of baseball on American lives and culture. This is just one of many baseball sites around town, also including Doubleday Field and Cooperstown Dreams Park.

Glimmerglass State Park

All that glimmers is indeed Otsego Lake. While the waters beckon those looking to swim, kayak, and fish, the lakeside park also has five hiking trails, including the Sleeping Lion Trail with a viewpoint of Mount Wellington resembling the trail’s namesake. Also on site: the 53-foot-long Hyde Hall Covered Bridge from 1825 and the 50-room country house Hyde Hall.

Farmers’ Museum

Located on the site of James Fenimore Cooper’s farm from 1813, the living museum is a look back in time at what life was like on a working farm. The Empire State Carousel, with 25 hand-carved depictions of animals in the state, also started running here in 2006.
